Providence Health & Services Supervisor, Epic Applications - Security in Torrance, California
Providence St. Joseph Health is calling a Supervisor, Epic Applications - Security to one of the following locations: Portland OR, Beaverton OR, Seattle WA, Renton WA, Everett WA, Olympia WA, Spokane WA, Richland WA, Missoula MT, Anchorage AK, Burbank CA, Anaheim CA or Torrance CA.
We are seeking a Supervisor, Epic Applications - Security to provide excellence in Epic applications which includes, implementations and support for Providence St Joseph Health and affiliated organizations. The essential functions of this position include providing day to day support and supervision of the Epic application staff. Supports the department and IS strategic goals, resource planning and utilization. This includes the support of individual application road map success, implementation and optimization activities, and production support of applications within span of control. This position is responsible for supervising, mentoring and developing application analysts as well as other staff. This position is responsible for the supporting the overall integrity of their applications Epic build, the success of new Epic and integrated third party product introductions. The position will primarily be focused on internal application teams and supporting the day to day functions for our analyst caregivers to ensure their success.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Maintains relationships with key business partners and other leaders specific to their customer service line and IS partnerships
Supports appropriate service delivery models for core application functions by managing the day to day applications team and its technology.
Ensures that the Epic applications division supports IS services and systems effectively, and partners with business and clinical leadership to meet organizational objectives.
As appropriate, manages and/or escalates critical issues problems or delays in production, projects or other initiatives that have an impact on the customer in partnership with their manager or senior manager.
Responsible for working with key stakeholders including managers, senior leaders, and a variety of customers to support the delivery of technical solutions that are effective and user-friendly, and support strategic initiatives, business and clinical outcomes.
Support ensuring the performance of respective applications and evaluates the performance of services on the basis of specific KPIs.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business Management, Information Services OR an equivalent combination of education, skills and relevant experience.
2 years Information Service Leadership experience.
4 years working in an Epic environment.
7 years build analyst experience in Epic and/or equivalent healthcare software (may substitute for Epic Certification and build experience).
Demonstrated analytical skills.
Demonstrates a high level of accuracy, even under pressure.
Demonstrated ability to effectively manage teams and to accomplish work through effective leadership of teams.
Strong Epic application knowledge in the specified application to support growth, training, and development of their team members as well as support projects for success.
Epic Applications Certification held within 90 days of employment and maintained throughout position held.
