Providence Health & Services Senior Project Manager - Inpatient Palliative Care CHOC in Torrance, California


Providence is calling a full time Senior Project Manager to Providence TrinityCare Hospice for Children's Hospital Orange County ( CHOC ), CA.

This is a unique opportunity to build a new department and inpatient palliative care team for CHOC.

In this position you will:

  • Plan and execute the implementation of business solutions and associated services in support of business objectives and ongoing operations

  • Be responsible for systems and project planning, financial analysis, project execution, implementation and ongoing support

  • Work closely with the functional business groups to insure the efficiency and effectiveness of business solutions deployed in support of business goals and objectives

  • Lead project team staff and manage customer relationships


Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor's degree from a 4-year college or university OR 7 years of appropriate business leadership experience

  • Ability to develop and execute project plans

  • Ability to lead large cross functional teams through the project management methodology leading to successful project implementation

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions

  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook, Project)

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Experience an acute care setting strongly preferred.

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

  • Experience with performance improvement/organizational change tools

  • Certified Lean Practitioner

  • Project Management experience

  • Data collection and analysis skills

  • Change Management experience

  • Proficiency in Six Sigma and Lean
