Providence is calling a Practice Manager III (Full time/Day shift) to Providence Medical Institute in Los Angeles, CA.
This position will float part of the time in our specialty clinics (primarily San Fernando Valley).

We are seeking a Practice Manager III provide ongoing leadership for the development and implementation of management and patient care systems to assure cost-effective and quality operations within Providence Medical Institute (PMI). Specific responsibilities include managing day-to-day operations, with an emphasis on patient care delivery, high quality customer service, patient satisfaction, staffing, budgeting and efficient allocation and use of available capital and human resources. Oversees multiple clinics and/or departments to include specialty clinics or patient care programs within the Providence Medical Institute. The Practice Manager III works with PMI clinic leadership to develop division-wide organizational goals and strategic integration of care and clinical practices to provide an optimal patient experience. Demonstrates ability to successfully interact with clinic physician leadership and staff physicians to carry out clinic and organizational mission, goals and objectives. Leads staff to ensure that patient care services are provided in a timely manner which are sensitive to the patient's physical, psychological, and spiritual needs. Ensures compliance with established clinical policies and procedures. Participates in PMI-wide special projects, committees or task forces as requested. Possesses comprehensive and advanced clinic practice management and leadership knowledge and skills, particularly mentoring, coaching, and conflict management and resolution, with effective facilitation of difficult conversations.
In this position you will:
Oversee the daily operations of the support staff in multiple clinics or programs either directly or through subordinate core leaders. This includes but is not limited to access, scheduling, patient flow, telephones, information systems, medical records and patient care
Overall responsibility for recruitment, orientation, retention, training, compensation, employee relations, disciplinary processes, terminations and performance management of all clinic support staff.
Assist leadership team in Strategic Planning for the clinics
Analyzs monthly statistical reports on clinic production and revenues. Recommend and implement process improvement plans to address areas of deficiency. Develops and monitors clinic(s) and/or department(s) operating budgets. Assure clinic operates within budget
Oversee accounts payable, purchasing, payroll, billing and collection functions for the clinic
Assist with recruitment of providers
Oversee clinic participation and compliance in all PMI and PH&S programs
Overall responsibility for quality and medical management programs for the clinic. Assures compliance with programs
Develop and maintain effective and professional relationships with all patients, staff, and providers
Overall responsibility for identifying and addressing patient concerns and complaints in an appropriate, timely manner and in accordance with PMI guidelines. Reviews and responds to patient satisfaction data. Recommends and implements process improvement to address areas of deficiency
Coordinates marketing materials and programs with PMI Marketing Department
Oversees the maintenance of the clinic building, offices and equipment
Overall responsibility to assure appropriate inventory and ordering of office and medical supplies
Oversees communication between patients and the Physician Billing Office, including financial arrangements and charity care requests as needed
Is an active member of the Management Team and contributes to its success by participating and collaborating with all Management Team members. Participates in committees and meetings as deemed necessary
Required qualifications for this position include:
6 years Supervisory and/or management experience within a healthcare environment, medical group office, or outpatient facility.
Experience developing key relationships within an integrated delivery system such as hospital, health plan and support departments.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Nursing or related field or equivalent educ/experience
California State RN license
