Providence is calling a Physical Therapist, (Per Diem/Day Shift) to Providence Little Company Of Mary Torrance Hospital in Torrance, CA.
We are seeking a Physical Therapist
We are looking for a per diem physical therapist to work in the acute care setting to treat patients in all areas of the hospital. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: assessment, treatment, education, and establishing and implementing a plan of care to address patient and family needs.
Weekend work will be required and ability to pick up extra weekend shifts preferred. This position would include coverage during vacations and high census periods during the week. Experience or interest in wound care or outpatient also preferred.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Ensure appropriate planning for patient discharge and referral to other services according to agency policy and in compliance with law and regulation. Advise, consult and, when appropriate, instructs family and other agency personnel in patient’s therapy program
Attend patient care conferences to ensure coordination of the patients care with other disciplines caring for the patient
Ensure confidentiality of all patient information
Assume responsibility and accountability for own professional growth and practice. This includes maintaining current licensure and completing all required in service educationParticipate in/conduct in service education, as requestedPromote use of the agency C.A.R.E. methodology in problem solving

Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's Degree from Accredited Physical Therapy Program
California State Physical Therapy License
Good working knowledge of general and specialized clinical equipment
Ability to perform all physical requirements pertaining to delegated tasks
Ability to organize and prioritize work, completes assignments on time
Ability to establish and maintain a courteous and cooperative working relationship with patients, families and coworkers
Ability to type and use a computer efficiently.
Ability to work effectively independently and with a team
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Master's Degree from Accredited Physical Therapy Program
D.P.T. from Accredited Physical Therapy Program
