Providence Health & Services Emergency Services Technician in Torrance, California
Providence is calling a Emergency Services Tech, Full Time, Night Shift to Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center - Torrance, CA.
In this position you will:
Perform delegated routine and predictable patient care tasks/duties and work under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN).These duties may include, but are not limited to ECGs, vital signs, monitoring, basic patient care and transportation
Respond appropriately to patients and families with knowledge of age-specific needs based on the emergency department scope of service.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Nursing Assistant certification from a state approved program OR
Graduate of an accredited CCT Program or certification as an EMT OR
Certification as an EMT or completion of an accredited EMT course or equivalent education / experience such as demonstrated equivalency (Corpsman, EMT, foreign licensed RN or MD), completion of 2nd semester of accredited Nursing Program, HHA with 1-2 years experience
Valid American Heart Association Heart Saver CPR/BLS course certification
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Recent hospital direct patient care experience in an acute, sub-acute or skilled nursing facility
Basic Arrhythmia identification course
Bilingual English / Spanish
