We are seeking a Director EIS Growth and Affiliations (M&A) to be responsible for ensuring the success of any and all programs and projects within their purview. Working collaboratively with all levels of operational and business leadership, they are also primarily responsible for the management of key partner and customer relationships to the degree they are viewed as a business partner. Director EIS Growth and Affiliations (M&A) is responsible for the delivery of identified business benefits associated with their program(s), which include planning and execution of all program phases from discovery and assessment to execution, go-live & go-live support, until transition to operations / production support and close. The Director EIS Growth and Affiliations (M&A) is the primary point of contact between the PSJH-customer/partner executive leadership, the project team(s) and is responsible for ensuring PSJH executive leadership is kept engaged and informed on the progress of each program. To ensure the success of their program(s), Program Director works collaboratively with multiple members of the project team(s)- including directors in organizational development, IS operations, informatics, project intake, growth & expansion, healthcare intelligence, integration, applications, and IT infrastructure. The Director is accountable for working with and facilitating processes to accomplish complex program objectives, managing change and resolving issues that span across project teams and departments by planning, organizing, directing, and supervising program activities in a cost-effective and productive manner to achieve customer satisfaction. This position relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals on complex issues where analyses of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variables. The Director EIS Growth and Affiliations (M&A) may oversee teams of up to 25-100 caregivers.
The Director EIS Growth and Affiliations (M&A) ensures projects related to the program are planned and executed in a manner that supports the PSJH Mission, and supports integration and collaboration across the health system while meeting the organizational objectives. Responsible for advising, consulting, and/or managing a complex cybersecurity requirements for the PSJH M&A program - including but not limited to - Identity and Access Management, Security Operations, Cybersecurity Analytics, Medical Device Security, Cybersecurity Architecture, Cyber Governance, Risk and Compliance. Responsible for coordinating IS operations, informatics, project intake, growth & expansion, healthcare intelligence, integration, applications, and IT infrastructure. Typical projects assigned to the Director EIS Growth and Affiliations (M&A) will span across several of these operational pillars and functional areas and may require collaboration and coordination with other programs.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
In this role, the Director EIS Growth and Affiliations (M&A) is responsible for advising, consulting, and managing a number of complex projects under a common objective at PSJH under a single program (or across several programs) designed to support PSJH to achieve strategic goals and initiatives - including but not limited to - IS operations, informatics, project intake, growth & expansion, healthcare intelligence, integration, applications, and IT infrastructure. While operating much more independently, this position works collaboratively with business/facility operational leadership, intake and governance teams, as well as IS groups required to deploy IS services and technology. Typical programs assigned to a Principle Program Manager will span across several of these operational pillars and functional areas and will require collaboration and coordination with other programs.
Direct & guide others to develop projects within a program in alignment with the organization’s strategic plans and objectives with little/no oversight from PPMO leadership.
Influence decisions in partnership with program leadership in order to ensure work toward common objectives while supporting and guiding others in their efforts to to do the same.
Proactively and independently informs and influences others in order to maintain the balance required between business needs; project partner strategy and standards; and financial requirements and budgets with little/no direction from PPMO leadership.
Set the standard for facilitating strategic planning with internal customers for deployment of information technologies and/or major services and products related to new growth and expansion efforts with little/no direction from PPMO leadership while coaching and mentoring others to do the same.
Proactively and independently manage client expectations for timelines and deliverables throughout the project/program lifecycle with little/no intervention from PPMO leadership while directing and guiding others to do the same at the appropriate levels of their program.
Define the structure and governance needed on a complex program(s) to develop and gain sponsor approval for project delivery dates.
Manage portfolio programs with very high complexity, strategic priority and/or visibility, system and/or regional priority - typically at an enterprise level.
Engages and organizes the assignment of activities of multi-functional, large-scale teams, as well as the project estimates, task dependencies and schedule.
Sets the standards and structure for all project/program professionals to manage scope, risk and issue management, including documenting, communicating and facilitating resolutions or mitigation plans with little/no direction from PPMO leadership on their program(s)
Sets the standards and structure for all project/program professionals to proactively and independently develop, initiate and manage a communication plan, including regular program status reports
Manages stakeholders and multiple project teams in the context of a single or multiple program(s) with little/no intervention from PPMO leadership, typicall at the enterprise level
Acts as a coach and mentor to others, especially (but not limited to) other project management staff, leaders, project leads, and customers.
Directs and guides others to pro-actively and independently develops root cause analyses and process improvement plans.
Directs and guieds other project and program management professionals to maintain all program artifacts and sets the standards for other program/project management resources on the program(s)
Prepares and delivers presentations to senior leadership, management, and stakeholders with little/no support or intervention from PPMO leadership
Other duties as assigned.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education/experience.
10 years Information Services/Information Technology and/or Healthcare Industry experience.
8 years experience in the project / program management field.
5 years experience with resource management.
1 relevant PPMO portfolio experience (eg. EMR, Business Applications, M&A, Infrastructure, etc.) within 1 year of hire.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Certifications: PMP (Project Management Professional), PgMP (Program Management Professional), Six Sigma, LEAN and CQIA (Quality Improvement Associate).
