Providence Health & Services Central Services Supervisor in Torrance, California

Description:

Providence is calling a ( Full Time/ Day Shift ) Central Services Supervisor at our Providence Medical Institute location in Torrance, CA.

In this position you will:

  • Provide day to day supervision and oversight of the Pre-Access, Scheduling and Refill Center functions for Axminster, PMI and Affiliates.

  • Responsible for the daily routines, work flow and work assignments of the Pre-Access Specialists, Appointment Schedulers, Refill Center Specialists to meet departmental goals.

  • Demonstrate a high level of integrity and innovative thinking and actively contributes to the success of the organization.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Minimum three years call center work experience

  • Two years supervisory work experience

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills and training

  • Ability to effectively interact with public and co-workers

  • Working knowledge of computerized registration

  • Ability to recognize issues, set priorities, and take action and/or direction to accomplish established objectives

  • Must have the capacity to manage multiple priorities and tasks which consistently project professional and positive image

  • Must be able to handle stressful situations

  • Must have the ability to efficiently organize work and complete tasks

  • Must have excellent communication and leadership skills

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Working knowledge of Epic Cadence, Resolute, Ambulatory, Eligibility Verification, Windows, Internet Explorer, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Work and Microsoft Excel

  • Ability to navigate Health Plan Websites

  • Working knowledge of Epic EMR computerized registration, billing and collection procedures, medical terminology and coding
